Safeguarding Statement
The safety and wellbeing of the people we care for is our highest priority. We are committed to protecting adults at risk from harm, abuse and neglect.

What safeguarding means
Safeguarding means protecting a person’s right to live safely, free from abuse and neglect. It includes recognising when someone may be at risk, taking the right action, and working with families and other agencies to keep people safe.
Our approach
- Our service is nurse-led, with clear safeguarding policies and procedures.
- All carers are safely recruited, including DBS checks, and trained to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns.
- We treat every person with dignity and respect, and listen carefully to their wishes.
- We keep accurate records and report concerns promptly and appropriately.
- We work openly with families, the local authority and the Care Quality Commission.
How to raise a safeguarding concern
If you are worried that someone is being harmed, neglected or is at risk:
- In an emergency, or if someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
- Contact us directly on 07837 871424 or email [confirm email].
- Contact the adult safeguarding team at your local council: [confirm Nottinghamshire safeguarding contact details].
- You can also contact the Care Quality Commission at cqc.org.uk.
We will always take your concern seriously and act on it.
Our commitment
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We keep our training, policies and practice under regular review so that the people we support, and their families, can feel confident they are in safe hands.
